What??? Million Dollar Club? What the heck is that about? J over at Budgets Are Sexy has started a Million Dollar Club for those of us who are striving to save for our retirement. Successful retirement is all in the planning and here are the steps I will be taking:
1. Pay off debt. Starting with credit card debt which is currently at 2100.00 dollars.
2. Pay off mortgage. Okay... that is a little high....108,000 dollars.
3. Pay off hubs credit card. 9500.00 dollars.
Steps I will use to do this:
1. Increase my bi weekly withdrawl to my internet Emigrant savings account from 55.00 dollars to 60.00 dollars
2. Obtain a part time job to increase the amount I can pay on my debt.
3. Do Not Keep Up with the Jones! What I have is fine. What I have is fine. What I have is fine.
4. Start up 401k again. Due to a change in owners at the place I work, everything was put on hold until the dust settled.
5. Increase Roth deduction. Currently at 50.00 per pay check. Will increase to 60.00 per pay check.
This is a start.
