Ready or Not

We finished our Christmas shopping Saturday. The last item we picked up was the bike for my grandson. I can't wait to see his face when he sees it.

Our adult children will be getting gift cards to their favorite stores. That makes it easy for both of us. They can get what they want, in the correct size and everyone is happy.

I opted not to have Christmas at my house this year. My husband and I will be visiting the home of our children over the next couple of days. Truthfully, I am really enjoying not having to cook this year.

Have you put together any goals for 2014? I keep thinking about what we would like to accomplish for next year, but have yet to come up with a dedicated list of goals.

I will be joing Carla in her no/low spend challenge for January. I would love to get our grocery spending under 600.00 a month. How is it that two people need to spend that much for groceries? I guess it could be the things we just can't live without. For me, I still drink soda. For hubs, he has to have his Gatorade/Powerade everyday.

Since I have been paying cash for most everything, I am only going to “give” myself $500.00 in January for groceries. Man, that stresses me put just writing it down lol. Oh, I think we can do it.

  • Are you ready for Christmas?

Like you we have been thinking about goals, but nothing in writing. Enjoy Christmas with your family.

We did less this year too, some giftcards, some cash and some small gifts. Merry Christmas Lisa!
