Turning Down Time in to Money

Almost two weeks ago I was laid off. Luckily we are on a better place financially and the layoff was not devastating to or already lean budget.

Since my post ( almost two weeks ago) I have been working hard at building my eBay business. To tell you the truth, I have had a ball! I love thrifting and searching for “treasures”. And I like taking pictures and listing the items. I am really happy to pack it up and ship out the items that have sold!!

This is where I list items. I share it with the dogs :-)

One of my goals for 2014 was to build my eBay sales to $3000.00 gross per month. As of today, I am half way there. Will I meet my goal of $3000.00 by the end of the month? I am sure going to try!

This bag of packages is going to the post office today!

Things happen for a reason and I am going with that! Will I go back to ultrasound? I don't know. Right now I am pretty content where I am.

I’m glad that you are getting a lot of satisfaction (and money) from your Ebay business. Good luck.

That’s pretty awesome! 3k a month is nothing to scoff at, and if you’re halfway there, that’s already a success! If I may be nosy, I am kind of curious, what kinds of treasures are you selling? I consider it a big win when I get $20 for something I sold on Ebay, haha. Then again, I really don’t shop things. That’s great that you’re having fun, because I know that for some people, this is a big hassle. My dad has a collection of stuff he wants to sell, but has never gotten around to it. Maybe I will help him this weekend…

That’s awesome about your ebay business! I started mine back up in November and within 2 weeks I made $1200. I’m kicking myself for ever giving it up. I need to start listing again, it’s easy, fast income. I checked out your ebay store and I have to ask, how do you know what mugs are worth money?? Our thrift stores have tons, but I wouldn’t know where to begin.

I really think this is what you are meant to do. Obviously you have the knack for spotting things that you can resell at a higher price. And you have fun doing it. I can’t find one darn thing wrong with this “job”. Hope you make $3,000 – at least you know you’ll have fun trying!

Lisa, I missed your post about getting laid off. I’m sorry to hear that. However, it sounds like you are rocking the EBay business. Good for you! I would have no idea what I could sell to make money.

That’s so awesome!! I love thrifting but never would have thought to do it for money!! Can you give me any tips on how I would get started?

You’re doing good and I believe that you are going to make $3000 this month from your Ebay business. What are the usual thing that you are selling on Ebay? $1,500 is big enough. :)

Awesome that you are turning something you love into a side hustle. You said you are doing about $1500 of business, does that number represent your total profit? If so then really well done, I would love to be able to make that kind of money off Ebay.
